I’ve been wanting to do an athleisure post for what seems like my entire blogging life, realistically a couple months. I’ve always been super athletic and active, allowing me to practically live in yoga pants. So to not have ever posted an athleisure type look is absurd of me.
Honestly, I have no idea what took me so long to do it, but boy am I glad that I finally did! Let me tell ya, I actually had an absolute blast taking these photos. Most likely because it felt more natural to me than any other shoot I’ve done. Not having to pose, but just being able to run was definitely freeing for me.
Since A Style Breeze (ASB) is already extremely street style, I think it’ll be exciting to add even more street style type attire and step into the athleisure field. In my original About page, I talk about how my style evolved on the basketball court. In my YouTube video, I talk about how I had a “look good, feel good” mentality on the court. I couldn’t predict what kind of a game I was going to have, but I could control how I was going to look.
This look is extremely fashionable, but also realistic and functional. There is no point in buying something that doesn’t allow you to work out in it. I’ve gotta say that I am definitely a fan of Lululemon, their quality is unbeatable. I have a realistic view of money and I understand their price point is higher than a lot of other athletic brands, but their quality is worth every penny. The older I get, the more I become quality over quantity.
I just try to be smart when it comes to purchasing their products. For example, this jacket was originally $150+, but I was able to get it Final Sale for only $60. I’ve worn it nonstop for a couple years now and it’s still in perfect condition.
I usually only buy Lululemon leggings for working out in, but these leggings featured were only $20 from TJMaxx and they actually do a great job! I absolutely love the slight leather look they have going on, which completely elevates my gym attire.
