The reason blogging is so cool is because not only is it a way to share your thoughts and inspire people all over the world but it teaches you a lot about yourself along the way. Here are the top 5 things that I’ve learned over the past two years of blogging:
1. You have to work on getting to know yourself
Just because you are yourself doesn’t mean you know yourself. I lived 20 years of my life without “fully” knowing who I was. I had to decide one day that I wanted to spend time getting to know myself. What I mean by this is that I started interpreting how I responded in certain situations, took personality tests, figured out what truly made me happy, figured out what made me different from everyone else around me.
Believe it or not, this is my very first bodysuit. I absolutely love the idea of bodysuits but had yet to find one I really loved. The second I saw this on Zara’s website, I knew I needed to have it.
I love that it’s black (my favorite color), but that it is still appropriate for spring and summer. It has a beautiful embroidery detail to it, which gives it uniqueness.
In order to dress it down a little bit and make it more casual, I decided to pair it with my fringe mom jeans. These mom jeans also are pretty bohemian with the fringe bottoms, so the overall theme stayed consistent. Since I was in Hilton Head for this outfit, I paired it with a sun hat and some rounded sunnies to give it that resort look.
If I were going out for the night, I would pair it with skinny jeans and a heel.
One of my favorite trends for Spring and Summer is a white out. A white is extremely fresh and seems to be the best way to embrace the warm weather. I decided to wear a two-piece outfit for my first white out.
This is the most unique outfit I shot during my spring break trip. I got this two piece set from Hemsmith. Originally I was going to order a matching two piece set, but then I really fell in love with this black top and these gray culottes. I loved the contrasting colors and contrasting materials between the two.
The bottoms are made of polyester, but have a velvet type feel to them. They hit right below my knee and are super cute and fashionable. In this look, I dressed them up with heels, but I would normally pair them with some sneakers.
