“Plant Slut” is one of my favorite combination of words, ever. I credit the name to Danielle Bernstein of @WeWoreWhat. No I am not calling myself a slut, I just love plants and can’t just commit to one.

Unfortunately there is not yet an urban dictionary definition. My definition of a plant slut is someone who is extremely obsessed with plants, and all types of greenery. My collection at home started with one succulent plant and now it’s actually so big I feel like I’m in a forest half the time I wake up in the morning.

After attending the local blogger meetup event at @fernshopcincinnati, not only did I add to my plant collection, but I also got to meet some great fashion bloggers and fellow plant sluts!

This event was Novemeber 18th in Cincinnati, Oh, and it was 70 degrees! We were able to open up all of the windows and doors of the event space and it essentially turned into an outdoor party. I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the weather for this time of year in Ohio. However, it did challenge me in terms of coming up with an outfit.

The past couples of weeks I have started to completely bundle up. Being thrown 70 degree weather really threw me a curve ball. Only a couple hours before the party I finally decided on this look! I had purchased it towards the end of summer and hadn’t had a chance to wear it yet.

This dress was absolutely perfect because it is light weight and has cute cold shoulder cut outs. I paired it with over the knee boots (because although it felt like June, it was still technically November). To complete the outfit, there is no surpise here, I had to layer with my leather jacket. The night ended up cooling off a bit as well, so I was super happy I brought it with me.
