Uniquely Wired, Uniquely Placed, For Unique Opportunities

Understanding that not only does God have a plan for my life, but that from the womb he uniquely wired me, has uniquely placed me, and has unique set up opportunities for me has been absolutely pivotal for me since college graduation.

As a graduated college student, I am eager to get out there, explore the world, challenge myself in my career, and grow into the best possible version of myself. However, running off to New York in hopes of finding that dream job in the fashion industry may not neccessarily be in God’s plan for my life.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.”

Uniquely Wired

Right now, I am the way that I am, have the interests I have, the strengths and weaknesses because of the way that God wired me as a person. I desire to have close intimate relationships, I thrive in small groups, I absolutely love sports, and I have an intense passion for fashion all because of the way that I was uniquely made.

You may think, why would God wire us with weaknesses at all. Because without our weaknesses we would have no need for God in our lives. When we recognize our weaknesses, we are reminded of how important our relationship with God is.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Uniquely Placed

Right now, I have been placed in Loveland, Ohio, where I have grown up my entire life. I am working at Nordstrom, where I have been quite some time now. Like I mentioned before, I am super eager for some change in my life. That is what is supposed to happen, after graduation. But reminding myself, that I was created how I am, to be in this place in this time right now, gives me clearity and peacefulness knowing it’s all part of God’s plan.

Not only are we placed in a certain location where we live, but we have the neighbors, coworkers, classmates, and friends that we have all for a certain reason. Only God sees the entire picture though. You may not realize the purpose someone has had in your life till later down the road. Sometimes you’ll never realize the purpose someone was in your life.

Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”

For Unique Opportunities

As my pastor said this morning, “Doors that God opens, no man can close.” Right now, I can only see my circumstances, and what is in front of me. I know I cannot fully see the bigger picture no matter how much I convince myself that I can. With that being said, why not put your full trust in someone who can see the bigger picture, someone who cares for you more than you could ever image.

I’m so eager to get my first full-time job, and move to a big city, but I know that even though I may not feel used to my fullest right here, right now. God is ultimately preparing me for what is next. The trials I am going through now and the patience I am learning is ultimately preparing me for the unique opportunities God has set aside for me. Every job offer that I don’t receive, I remind myself that God is saving me for something bigger and something better than I can imagine.

Philippians 2:13 “For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”

Remember, you were uniquely wired, uniquely placed, for unique opportunities.
